Game Description (Demo - Version 0.8.1)
The game is a rogue-lite bullet hell shmup with the goal of beating all levels (so far only one level exists^^). The enemy are randomized, meaning every run will have different placements, enemy count, etc. Though it still lacks enemy varierity.
At the end of the level (100%) a Boss will spawn which you would need to beat to have access to the next level - at least this is the idea
As player you have the usual bullet hell shmup fire modes. Also, instead of having the usual "bombs" you have a ulti-attack which gradually fills up. At 60% you can fire it (normal ulti). If you wait until it's filled to max, you'll get the true ulti.
As special skill you can unlock "bullet-time" in the upgrades. This will slow down time for everything else but you, helping you out in dire situations.
PS: Should support Keyboard (though not recommended really^^, PS, Xbox and Switch Controller but only shows keyboard or PS icons for now.
Personal Background
I am 33 and I have been a software developer for more than 10 years now and my biggest hobby has always been video games. The goal of starting this hobby-project was to delve into game design and game development in general, which is why the majority of the assets was created all by myself (I am not a good artist which is why I preferred doing pixel art for this one).
The main reason for working on this though is to get my mind off a bit of my current situation of my daughter fighting cancer. This is also the reason why I have only ever been able to work on this game every now and then.
I plan to adjust lots of things (mainly balancing, level design, improvement of the custom seeder/enemy spawn system, adding tutorial and story, key-binding, etc..). Even if it stays at only one level I'd hope to have a rather fun and working version of it.
